The Refugee Law Lab is hiring! We currently have two positions available:

Part-Time Osgoode JD Research Assistant (Border Control & Racial Profiling) (F2021) (Deadline: Oct 27)

The Refugee Law Lab is looking to hire a part time Osgoode JD research assistant to help with a project about border control law and racial profiling in the Fall term. The project is a partnership between the Refugee Law Lab and the consumer protection organization Air Passenger Rights. It examines racial profiling in the implementation of electronic travel authorizations, which are documents that are required for most non-citizens to board planes destined for Canada. The research assistant will collect information from materials in publicly accessible court files relating to allegations of racial profiling against Hungarian Roma air passengers in the electronic travel authorization program (and in practices prior to the program’s inception). The research assistant will then prepare a legal research memo about that information.
